Meet Shashi aunty!
For years, I've exchanged smiles and waves with the cute 'dadi' next door who's watched me grow up. She's been our neighbour for almost 30 years now. Yet, it wasn't until I stepped into her home with my camera that I truly saw her.
As I photographed dadi going about her routine, I saw beauty in the everyday moments we often overlook. The way she carefully watered each plant, her gentle smile as she gazed at family photos, the practised ease of her cooking - all spoke volumes about a life well-lived and a home well-loved. Her fridge, apart from storing food was also storing love! it was filled with her grandkids' artwork and photos. It was like peeking into her heart.
